
葛米星(G口urmit Singh)是新加坡新传媒旗下合约艺人。平常他主要是主持第五台的英语频道节目,但亦偶尔会在华语频道中亮相。葛米星是一位混血儿,他的父亲是原品属都故绍位德祖籍旁遮普邦的印度裔人,而母亲则是华日混血城减树单础她距儿。虽然葛米星没有正式学过华语,但在网上有不少网友都指他在演出中的华语讲得很好。

Gurmit Ottawan Singh (born M势切谓arch 24 1965; Chi派nese: 葛米·星; pinyin: Gémǐ Xīng) is a popular Singaporean actor,host and comedy performer.
Born to a Punjabi father and a Chine象包龙她阿重清引本错半se–Japanese mother,强肉封数跟一烧环必Gurmit was bro它ught up as a Sikh,but converted to Christianity later in his life. 影国角少沉战杆Making his debut in the variety show Live O右诗洋事目整展消n 5,he then became the h频乙后承们交ost and lead actor of the comedy Gu苦呢rmit's World. The second season of Gurmit's 预案World,in which Gurmit portrayed his 'relatives' in 永牛异跟维选述比检a series of 办十度红认步路机题企素skits (unlike the first season w衣历等掌here he played a wide assortment of most活错树沿数道友情ly non-recurring characters),featured the first appearance of a characte正无坐导r named Phua Chu Kang. The 如半诗Singlish-based spin-off sitcom Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd in 1996 made Gurmit a popular icon in the recent years,not only in Singapore,but also in neighbouring countries. This factor led him to be the host in the Singapore Idol variety show. In the past few years,Gurmit has also won the Top 10 Most Popular Male Artistes at the Star Awards.
Gurmit is married to Melissa,a Cantonese Chinese. He has an eight-year-old daughter,Gabrielle; and a three-year-old son,Elliot. Gurmit is also an alumnus of National Police Cadet Corps,Singapore [1].
